4pp - Souvenir programme for The Liverpool Empire's 1947 production of the touring company of "Piccadilly Hayride" which played in 1946 at London's Prince of Wales Theatre starring Birmingham's (UK) own Sid Field (though he's not in this production). This production's cast included: Marianne Lincoln, Jack Francois, The Pagolas, John Tiller Girls, Nat Jackley, Robert Harris, Sheila Selway, Joyce Perkins, Sylvia Blake, Pamela Stewart, Audrey Freeman, Freda Collier, Doris Russell, The Four Hurricanes, Sammy Curtis, Dick Beamish, and Alec Shanks. The production's manager and stage director was Patrick Vyvian. Leslie Vivian was musical director with Frank Robertsas stage carpenter and Eric Potter as stage manager. Norman Coy was in charge of props and Hillary Allen was wardrobe mistress. PROVENANCE: this item comes from the collection of H. W. Roxburgh of Liverpool, in whose extensive collection of theatrical ephemera this item was contained. It was purchased at Fellows and Sons Auction, Birmingham (UK) in Aug, 2007.

The covers and textblock are VG+ except for rusted staple.
