488pp inc index - 1st Ed. Deckled fore and bottom edges. One volume of a 12-volume set. The title translates approximately to, "The Letters of Cicero, Volume 3, From the Editions of Olivet (Pierre-Joseph Thoulier, Abbe d'Olivet) and Ernesti (Johann August Ernesti), Carefully Reviewed by John Carey LLD, who Ensured their Accuracy".

Covers (decorated tanned paper covered hard boards with black titles and device to front and sunned spine and publisher's catalogue to rear board) are soiled and edgeworn with a half-inch long 1/4 inch wide chip is missing from the top right corner of the spine. Textblock is clean and tight except for some foxing throughout and neatly inked inscription to FEP dated "17th Aug, 1825".
