448pp inc index and many colour and b&w illustrations - Originally subtitled, 21 Stories of the Men and Women Who Challenged Oceans,Mountains,Deserts,Snow and Space, which says it all. Authored by Chris Bonington, climber and adventurer. The book is immaculate. The blue cloth covers with silver gilt titles to the spine have some spots of water staining to the front and rear, but minimal edgewear. The DJ (now in protective sleeve) is very edgeworn with a number of closed tears and creases. A large and heavy volume which may require additional shipping cost.
