252pp - 1st Ed. This book by the prolific 1940s writer, is a romance about a young doctor marrying for money and the consequences of his actions. The book in green cloth with white titles to the spine, has minor shelfwear, mostly to the spine, some water and other stains (mostly to the front) and a light bend/creat diagonally across the bottom fore corner of the front. Page edges are soiled. Pages are foxed and an oval stamp from WMA Shakespeare Newsagents is seen on several pages. Front and rear paste down pages show signs of removal of a pasted or taped down DJ.
