765pp, Red cloth covers with gilt titles and blind-stamped art nouveau decoration to front and spine. Obviously shelf and edgeworn and slightly soiled. Spine sunned. Two-inch split at outside hinge of front cover and spine. Part of The Harmsworth Library of classics. Inscribed as "prize for essays" to Hilda Paget on July 24, 1908 from St Mark's Girls' in ink on FEP. Bad full-length split at page xii and between rear end papers but all pages (except ten prelim pages).
