321pp inc index, several b&w maps and 16pp of b&w photos - Taking its title from a comment by the Russian Interior Minister of the day V. K. Plehve to the his counterpart in the Russian War Ministry, Gen A. N. kuropatkin, that "What this country needs is a short, victorious war to stem the tide of revolution". And that's just what they got. Even if the objective wasn't quite obtained. The book is immaculte, clean and tight. Teh prelim pages are amazingly white considering their age. The DJ is likewise iimmaculate.
