192pp - First edition of the 11th Famous Five tale. Red cloth covers with black text to front and spine. Single-colour decorated endpapers. B&W and single-colour illustrations throughout. Soper (1905 - 1990) illustrated some 50 of Blyton's books, including the whole "Famous Five" series. But in the 1970s the Famous Five books were given a more contemporary feel by replacing Soper's illustrations with new ones by Betty Maxey.
