16pp - One of the very collectable "Take Home Books" series from the 1950s and '60s. 1st ed. 1st ed. The generation gap and how to deal with it. Sir John was Vice Chancellor of Reading University when he wrote this. Earlier in his career he'd been head-master of several public schools and chairman of various government committees dealing with education and the problems of youth. He was author of at least one other THB, The Steele Age. Wolfenden also authored an early government report which suggested homosexual behaviour between consenting adults should no longer be a criminal offence. This was in 1957.
