Covers (black buckram with gilt titles to spine) has minor edgewear and rubbing. Textblock has tanned pages, a white splotch across the FEP and similar white spot to FPDP, otherwise book is immaculate.

79pp inc b&w illustrations by quentin blake - "This is the third Jackanory story about Arabel (who's small and fair) and her beloved Mortimer (who's large and black and hairy), " according to the blurb. The classic programme, which aired between 1965 and 1996 with 3,500 episodes in which many stars read nightly extracts from children's novels. Some 650 stories were read with Cribbins holding the record with 111 appearances.
The BBC announced in July 2005 that it plans to revive the show in time for Christmas 2006. Dame Judi Dench, Sir Ian McKellen, Peter Sellers and Spike Milligan were amongst the many stars who read stories in the series and even royals took part, with Prince Charles reading from his own book The Old Man of Lochnager. VG+ except some edgewear and soiling to covers, pages are clean and tight.
