273pp inc index and many b&w photos - This is a reprint of the sequel to Morton's classic, volume of literary sketches of London, The Heart of London. It was originally published 14 years earlier. Just as valuable and entertaining a book now as then for a look at the London of the first half of the 20th Century, esp the interwar years. Covers (blue buckram with light blue titles to spine) has a tiny tear to the buckram at the fore-edge of the front board, also a bit of edgewear. Textblock is immaculate except for prior owner's inked name to FPDP and foxing to page edges.
