454pp inc index and illustrations - 1st Ed. 3rd impression - The BBC's political editor from 1981 - 1992, Cole came to London in 1957 from Belfast, via Manchester. During all those years he kept notes of his conversations with leading politicians of the times. Now he tells the stories of the era's greatest politicians and political events. Covers are green with gilt text on spine. Covers have some slight edgewear and a few pages toward the end of the book have very slight bends at the top corner, otherwise a very clean and tight volume. DJ is price-clipped but otherwise VG.

Includes articles on: The Future of the RAF; Helicopters in the '80s, the Air War over France - 1940, Colours of the Day (about camouflage), a directory of Soviet warplanes, Low-level aviation training and "flying boats". Provenance this magazine comes from the library of the late Ian de Hamel, who died in 2003, and who during WWII was a Flight Lt flying Sunderland aircraft with Coastal Command during 1944-45. It was purchased at Fellows and Sons Auction, Birmingham (UK) in Dec 2005. Front cover has notation about the article on Flying Boats in marker, otherwise magazine is immaculate.
