ix, 237pp inc a colour frontis and 10 other colour plates by Eleanor Fortescue-Brickdale - This is a collection of some of Browning's best dramatic verse, especially dramatic monologues. The book is beautifully illustrated with colour plates by one of the leading Pre-Raphaelite Women Artists, Fortescue-Brickdale. Covers (blue cloth with black rules framing black titles and motifs to front board and black titles to sunned spine) are very minimally edgeworn and with very slight bumped corners. Textblock is immaculate except for light tanning of pages and some foxing to page edges. All plates present and accounted for.

Covers (blue buckram with gilt OUP logo and blind-stamped rules to front board and spine) is very slightly edgeworn, with very slightly bumped corners. Textblock clean and tight except for very slight foxing to the prelims. Top edge tinted with greyish-blue.
