Disbound essay and engraving from "The Fine arts of the English school : illustrated by a series of engravings, from paintings, sculpture, and architecture, of eminent English artists: with ample biographical, critical, and descriptive essays, by various authors / edited, and partly written, by John Britton" This item is pages 50-58 and includes the engraving of Reynolds' "Garrick Between Tragedy and Comedy" and Britton's essay on it. The engraving is tanned and foxed to the borders with the image unaffected. Text is mostly bright except for first page which has some bleed-through of text from the next page and some soiling to the top fore-edge and slight foxing.
