C., 212pp inc colour frontis and ten other colour plates, each protected by captioned-tissue guards, by A C Michael - An absolutely gorgeous volume of this classic by the author of Peter Pan. Undated, but inked gift inscription to FPDP is dated "August 8th 1912" and both University of Edinburgh Library and University of Warwick Library date it as 1911. Covers (brown buckram with gilt titles to front and spine) is very slightly edgeworn. TEG. Light brown EPs decorated with gift inscription to FPDP. Peter Pan and "Wendy" Hodder & Stoughton, London, Reprint, Cloth, Good +, No Jacket Attwell, Mabel Lucie, 317pp plus one page listing of publisher's books by Barrie - Undated, but c 1920s. Peter Pan and Wendy's classic adventure. Covers (red cloth with black titles to spine) are edgeworn with some soiling, and has lightly bumped corners. Textblock has inked prior owner's name to FEP, red EPs, and crayon and pencil marks apparently from a child. 007295 Price: 5.00 GBP

The Little White Bird Hodder & Stoughton, London, First Edition (apparently), Cloth, Good, No Jacket 312pp - Apparently first edition of 1902, or at least an early (first decade) reprint. This is the book which includes the first appearance of Barrie's best-known creation, Peter Pan. The book was obviously well-loved and oft-read. Its black buckram bevelled-edged covers are rubbed and edgeworn to front and back. Unfortunately backstrip is missing with front and rear boards being weakly held in place integral ribbons. Inside hinges also a bit weak. All prelims are missing including the title pages, frontis and pages vii (and viii?) which is the second page of the Table of Contents (first page of contents is detached but present). Rest of textblock is complete. TEG, other edges rough-cut. This was part of the library of Dorothy Seward Walton (circa 1918, d. Sep 1980), a poet and author of "The Hidden Stream, a verse play based on the lives of Saints Serf and Mungo. She was also wife of the Professor of Botany at Glasgow University. Her pencilled, surname in a somewhat juvenile script is at the top of the Table of Contents. Purchased at auction, Fellows & Sons, Birmingham, UK, 27 Sept, 2005. 004986 Price: 34.98 GBP

Barrie Hodder & Stoughton, London, 1933 Reprint, Waxed Cloth, Very Good, No Jacket 844pp inc monochrome frontis photo of Barrie with original tissue guard plus one page listing of publisher's books by Barrie - The scripts of Barrie's 20 plays including: Peter Pan, The Admirable Crichton, Quality Street, A Kiss for Cinderella, Dear Brutus, What Every Woman Knows, Barbara`s Wedding, Seven Women, The New Word and Shall We Join the Ladies. Covers (blue cloth with bevelled edges and gilt titles to spine) are edgeworn, rubbed and have bumped corners. Textblock has a crack near front, owner's name and date "January 5th, 1936" to FEP and slight foxing mostly to page edges. A large and heavy (about 1.75Kg when packaged) book which will require additional postage. 008742 Price: 25.00 GBP
